Planning Commission Minutes
Recommendation: Approve minutes of the Regular Meeting of May 2, 2023.
B.
IPD-53M(11), Rexford Industrial Public Art
Recommendation:
  1. Via minute action, approve the proposed public art for Fairfield Camino Ruiz, LLC.

2023-2028 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) General Plan Conformity and Coordination Review
Recommendation:
  1. Recommend that the City Council find that the review of capital improvement projects located adjacent to or within the City of Camarillo for consistency with the General Plan is not a project.
  2. Recommend that the City Council find that proposed public improvements of the FY 20232028 City of Camarillo Department of Public Works Five-Year Capital Improvement Program, including Calleguas Municipal Water District, Camrosa Water District, the County of Ventura, Oxnard Union High School District, Crestview Mutual Water District, and Pleasant Valley Mutual Water District CIPs are in conformance with the City of Camarillo General Plan.

This is the time for members of the public to present a matter to the Planning Commission which does not appear as a regular item.  Action cannot be taken on items not on the agenda; however, these items may be referred to staff or scheduled on a future agenda.

CUP-371M(1), Village Greens Market
Recommendation:
  1. Find the modification of CUP-371 to be categorically exempt under a Class 1 exemption for Existing Facilities. 
  2. Adopt a resolution approving CUP-371M(1), Village Greens Market. The action of the Planning Commission is final unless an appeal is filed within ten (10) days of the date of their action.

CUP-421, Dish Wireless
Recommendation:
  1. Find that the project is categorically exempt from the provisions of CEQA under Class 3 New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures (CEQA Guidelines Section 15303).
  2. Adopt a resolution approving CUP-421 subject to the recommended conditions of approval. The action of the Planning Commission is final unless an appeal is filed within ten (10) days of the date of their action.

CUP-400, Arneill Road Mixed-Use Project
Recommendation:
  1. Adopt a resolution approving CUP-400. The action of the Planning Commission is final, unless an appeal is filed within ten (10) days of the date of their action.

 Public Comment Options
  • Electronic Comments: To submit electronic public comments please visit www.cityofcamarillo.org/publiccomment .
  • Written Comments: You may submit written comments to the Department of Community Development by mail attention Planning Division, 601 Carmen Drive, Camarillo, California 93010.  If your written comment is received by 4:00 p.m. on the meeting date, staff will distribute copies of your comments to all Planning Commissioners prior to the meeting.  Written comments received after 4:00 p.m. will be distributed to the Planning Commissioners after the meeting.  
  • Verbal Comments: Verbal Comments will be received on any item on the agenda at the time the agenda item is heard.  Comments are limited to three minutes for each speaker and each speaker may only speak once on each item.  The Planning Commission will receive general public comments for items not on the agenda during the Public Comment time.  Action cannot be taken on any item that is not on the agenda but may be referred to staff or scheduled on a future agenda.
Speaking
When it is your turn to speak, the Chair will call your name.  When your name is called, approach the podium and begin your comments by stating your name for the record.  The timer will count down your 3 minutes.  The timer starts with a green box indicating you have 3 minutes; when there is 1 minute remaining, the box changes to yellow; when the 3 minutes have elapsed, the box will turn red.  At that time, we will move onto the next speaker.
